Room Amenities

All 24 rooms – all non-smoking – are furnished in a bright country-house or alpine-modern style and equipped with a sitting area/living space, room safe, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV (SAT), telephone, radio, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, shower/bath, and WC. The junior suite "Schlappold" features a separate living room with an additional bed (2-room apartment). The junior suite "Gaishorn" is a 1-room suite. Both junior suites are equipped with a small refrigerator.

Arrival and Departure

Arrival by car through the traffic-calmed area of Oberstdorf to Alpenruhe is easy – please refer to our arrival map.
If you arrive by train, we kindly ask you to use the taxis available at the station, as pick-up is not possible.
By public transport (ÖPNV), take bus line no. 7 from the central bus station to the stop Prinzenstraße. From there, it’s about a 6-minute walk south to Hotel Alpenruhe.
Rooms are ready from 3:00 p.m. and check-in is also possible from that time. Please let us know your approximate arrival time.
Tip: Arrive by train and use the Deutsche Bahn courier luggage service.

Departure

We kindly ask that you vacate your room by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

Car

There are sufficient parking spaces at the hotel. No charging station for electric cars is available.

Beds

All rooms are equipped with 2-meter beds and orthopedic mattresses (200 cm x 90 cm), with adjustable head and foot sections. Allergy-friendly bedding is available upon request. Some double rooms/junior suites offer separate sleeping arrangements.

Mountain Cable Cars

From May to November, cable cars can be booked free of charge on your guest card. Valid during the season and operating times of the participating cable cars. We’re happy to provide further details.

Booking / Down Payment

After confirmation, you will receive our written booking confirmation. A 20% prepayment of the room price is required at booking.
The legally binding general guest accommodation agreement and our terms and conditions (AGB) apply.
Booking a specific room number or floor is not possible. Requests will be accommodated where possible.

Pets

Bringing pets is not permitted – thank you for your understanding.

Half Board

Our kitchen is open 5 days a week (house guests only). We offer a rich breakfast buffet (not for takeaway), afternoon cake and pastries, and a high-quality 3- to 4-course menu or buffet in the evening.
On Sundays and Mondays, when the kitchen is closed, the half board is refunded with €19.00 per person per day. Refunds are granted only on kitchen rest days. If these fall on public holidays, rest days may be shifted. For package bookings, the inclusive services apply as stated.
No food may be taken out of the restaurant. A packed lunch is available for a fee if ordered by 6:00 p.m. the day before.

Hotel

Alpenruhe has 26 rooms with 46 beds across 2 floors. All rooms are located on the first and second floors. There is no elevator.

Internet

Wi-Fi is available free of charge in every room.

Short Stays

During high season, short stays are only possible to a limited extent.
For stays under 5 nights, we charge a surcharge of €10.00 per person/day (January–May) and €15.00 per person/day (June–December). For 1–5 nights, we cannot guarantee a specific room type.

Prices

Price differences are based on room location, size, and furnishings.
Prices include current VAT, heating, and electricity.
In case of discrepancies between booking confirmation and price list, the current price list applies. All previous price lists become void upon publication of a new list. Subject to change, printing errors, and mistakes.

Smoking

Alpenruhe is a non-smoking property, and we appreciate your cooperation. A smoking table is available in the garden.

Cancellation

In the event of no-show, trip interruption, or cancellation, and if the room cannot be rebooked despite our best efforts, 70% of the room and half board price will be charged.
Our cancellation policy has been adapted to current circumstances. We strongly recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance including COVID protection – available for online booking on our website.

Opening Hours

• Reception: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
• Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
• Afternoon buffet: 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Dinner: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Our small wellness area can be booked from 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. for 2–3 hours

Payment Options

You can pay your bill in cash or with EC card (Girocard).
Credit cards and debit cards from VISA/Vpay are not accepted.

Additional Services
We believe guests should only pay for what they actually use. Therefore, we offer the following optional extras: sauna use, bathrobes, bus tickets, etc. All extras are bookable on-site.
